The Investor Summit 2025, held on the 13th August, will remain in my memory as a remarkable day. Not because of anything I did, but because of the extraordinary effort and commitment of Peter Higgins and the Copia Digital team, who made it all possible.
More than 300 attendees gathered under a single roof, creating an atmosphere alive with curiosity and conversation. It was Peter’s vision that brought this community together and his meticulous organisation that ensured the event ran seamlessly from start to finish. His vision, energy, and organisational skill set the stage for a summit that I will long remember as one of the high points of my investing journey.
The Copia Digital team, led by Sam Bell, worked tirelessly in the background, handling the countless moving parts that make such an ambitious day possible from logistics to production, from speaker coordination to the live recording of our podcast. The event venue itself was a spectacular space, reflecting the quality of speakers and enabling a wide variety of conversations with fellow investors. The whole day required a momumental effort by a group of people that ensured the rest of us could simply attend and enjoy a production that looked effortless.
From securing the venue to ensuring every microphone worked and every speaker felt supported, Peter and the Copia Digital team worked tirelessly in ways most of us never even saw, simply being able to attend on the day and benefit from an event which exuded quality at every opportunity. If you attended and haven’t yet taken the opportunity to thank them, please do – it will be appreciated.
Of course, one of the highlights was the live Twin Petes Investing Podcast, recorded in front of nearly 200 people. To sit on stage and share a discussion on how to find shares that can do well in bull and bear markets, drawing on historic performance of some of the London Stock Exchange’s top companies, was a privilege. But all the credit for making that moment happen belongs to Peter, who brought the idea to life and executed it so smoothly. Indeed, my own time at the office in the last few months has proven so intense that my own contributions to the day paled in comparison and it’s with no small amount of gratitude that I owe Peter thanks for trusting me to perform on the day infront of a not inconsiderable audience!
We were also treated to some truly outstanding speakers. Stephen Yiu of Blue Whale Capital gave a thought-provoking session; Lord Lee of Trafford — one of Britain’s most admired private investors — shared his wisdom with characteristic grace; Laura Foll of Law Debenture delivered her insights with clarity and poise; and Charles Hall closed the day with a speech that was both masterful and memorable.
The Investor Summit 2025 was, to my mind, a triumph, not only because of the insights shared and the connections forged, but because it demonstrated what can be achieved when people who truly care about investing come together. It was a pleasure to speak to so many attendees in person and a privilege to put faces to names and share investing insights in such good company.
For my part, I am simply grateful. Grateful to everyone who attended, grateful to the speakers who lent their voices, and above all grateful to Peter Higgins and the Copia Digital team, whose hard work, dedication, and professionalism turned an idea into a first-class event. The Summit is not my event to claim credit for but simply to have enjoyed being part of; the culmination of nearly a year’s hard work, perseverance, and dedication.
